International Women's Day is celebrated around the world and a chance to show appreciation and support for all the women who shape our lives every day. This year's theme, "Accelerate Action," highlights the need to drive gender equality through bold, decisive actions rather than slow progress.
The cannabis industry is no stranger to the conversation around making spaces more equal for all genders. While traditionally male-dominated, the industry has seen a surge in women entrepreneurs succeeding and bringing new, exciting ideas to the table, from budtenders and growers to shoppers. However, this progress doesn't mean it's without its unique challenges; women often need to work twice as hard and face questions about their credentials and knowledge.
Who better to hear about the challenges and opportunities women have faced in the cannabis industry than from the women themselves? We had the fantastic chance to interview women who have really been owning the cannabis space.
